a Senior Human Factors Engineer (posted 2/7/12) Behavioral Science Associates (BSA) provides Human Factors and Usability engineering expertise for Federal government defense, aviation and private industry projects. We currently have opportunities for Mid-Level and Senior Human Factors Engineering professionals, preferably with aviation or FAA experience. The candidates may have a BA/BS, MA/MS or Ph.D. level of training. The incumbent for our current need will employ high fidelity simulations to design, conduct and manage human performance studies and supply usability designs and recommendations that will help evolve the next generation of air transportation systems for the national airspace. General Job Tasks: · Conducting a literature reviews · Develop detailed test plans · Analyses of research questions, develop research studies, analytic methods, study goals, and objectives · Create scenarios and concepts for use in research studies · Develop and refine methods, techniques and procedures used for the airspace simulation studies · Create and maintaining a schedule for the research deliverables · Perform data collection, analysis, writing reports of research results and the presentation of findings · Participate in the planning and execution of test activities · Work with the end-users to define operational impacts, and provide human factors and usability design recommendations for issue resolution · Review vendor products and designs and provide usability recommendations based on human factors standards, guidelines and best practices.
